The Singapore Gym Market

Singapore has over 600 registered fitness centres across a land area of 728 sq km — one of the highest gym densities per capita in Asia. Anytime Fitness (40+ outlets), Fitness First (25+ outlets), Pure Fitness, California Fitness, ActiveSG and hundreds of boutique studios compete for a health-conscious, quality-demanding Singapore consumer base. In this market, ambient scenting is a documented membership retention tool and a brand differentiator that very few operators have yet deployed at the SME level.
